Imagine losing two family members within two weeks. That’s exactly what happened to Yoly Vasquez in 2021. She lost her husband Johnny Vasquez to Covid and two weeks later, she lost her son Johnny Vasquez Jr. to cancer. You could say she poured that pain into something they all loved.
She always had a passion for cooking and sharing it with others. Her late husband and son loved her salsa, so she started her small business as a way to
honor them.
“I know they would be really proud,” said Yoly.
Her daughters, Judy and Marcie, also helped in anyway possible and she loves being able to sell to fellow Odessans.
“We have a lot of support! I’m very grateful for the opportunity I have to share what I love. I'm excited to see what the future holds with my small business. I know that with God all things are possible,” said Yoly.
She was born and raised in San Francisco de Borjas, Chihuahua Mexico. Yoly moved to the United States as a young adult. After getting married to her late husband Johnny, they raised their family in the best place, Odessa! They have three children and four grandchildren.
